Général Emballage: civil engineering work to start soon on Naâma paper mill project

Général Emballage is preparing to start civil engineering work on its new paper mill project in Naâma, scheduled to come on stream in early 2028. The project, aimed at producing 350,000 tons of paper for the manufacture of corrugated board, was discussed at a meeting chaired by the wali of Naâma in September. The plant will create 800 direct jobs and 3,000 indirect jobs, reducing dependence on imports and paving the way for exports.

Général Emballage, based in Akbou (Béjaïa) and specialising in the manufacture of corrugated board, already has three industrial sites in Algeria and employs more than 1,200 people.
