Algerian-Cuban Business Forum: Increasing trade and investment

In a statement published on its website, the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACI) said the forum will focus on the agri-food, health, pharmaceutical, energy and renewable energy, construction, mining, packaging, wholesale and retail trade, and tourism and start-ups sectors.

“This forum will aim to expand bilateral trade and explore business and partnership opportunities between the two countries,” CACI said in its statement. In a note published on its portal, the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry invites all operators in this sector to participate massively in this forum. In this context, it should be recalled that in November 2021, a partnership agreement was signed between the National Agency for Pharmaceuticals (ANPP) and the Cuban State Control Center for Medicines, Equipment and Medical Devices in order to intensify the exchange of knowledge and expertise. Cuba’s ambassador to Algeria, Armando Vergara Bueno, announced that Algeria will export medical equipment to Cuba for the first time.
