On this occasion, the Algeria pavilion saw "a large influx of visitors of different nationalities, notably Japanese, who came to find out more about the assets of the Algerian tourist destination, as well as the various handicraft products and traditional Algerian clothing that aroused great interest among visitors".
Visitors enjoyed "a unique cultural experience within an exhibition highlighting the richness of Algeria's ancient heritage", according to the same source, adding that "visitors received postcards with +quick response QR+ codes" showing the stages of national craft production. In conjunction with the 63rd anniversary of Independence Day, a ceremony was held in the Algeria pavilion, in addition to a musical performance by the "Ajyal saeeda" (rising generations) group from the wilaya of Ghardaïa.
Organized from July 2 to 10 at the Algeria pavilion, the Tourism and Crafts Week aims, according to its organizers, to "promote the Algerian tourist destination in Japan and among participants from various countries". Algeria is attending this global event, which began on April 13 and runs until October 13, to strengthen its presence on the international stage and forge new partnerships in various fields.
