The same source said, "The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss
the practical arrangements for transferring Tassili Airlines' assets and human
resources to the new company to be created, to ensure a successful start to
this strategic project".
On this occasion, it was decided to "set up a joint working group bringing together representatives of the sectors concerned, charged with starting without delay the execution of the operation of transferring the aircraft belonging to Tassili Airlines and the human resources to the benefit of the new company".
The representatives of the Sonatrach group, the acting CEO of Tassili Airlines, the CEO of Air Algérie, the CEO of the Agence Nationale de l'Aviation Civile (ANAC) (National Civil Aviation Agency), the CEO of the Entreprise Nationale de la Navigation Aérienne (ENNA) (National Air Navigation Company), as well as representatives of the Ministry of National Defence and executives from the Ministries of Transport and Energy, attended the meeting.
"This strategic project aims to reinforce geographical complementarity across the country by strengthening air connectivity between the country's various wilayas, thereby helping to support socio-economic development", says the ministry.
On 12 March, President Tebboune chaired a working meeting to examine the air transport situation, particularly Air Algérie and Tassili Airlines. At the end of this meeting, it was decided to set up a company specialising in domestic air transport, under Air Algérie.
