The Minister stressed the importance of the new air transport company in making up for the lack of flights in several wilayas, particularly in the South. He referred to the efforts of Air Algérie, which has chartered eight aircraft and plans to add more. Concerning the acquisition of 16 new aircraft, the first deliveries are expected in the summer of 2025, with a rate of one aircraft per month from 2026. A new Algiers-Oman route is also under consideration. The ports are being reorganised to specialise in import-export. The transport of sheep imported for Eid El Adha is proceeding smoothly via nine ports, with an agreement signed between the SNTF and the Ministry of Agriculture to transport them by train to the South. The first operation took place between Oran and Béchar. The Air Algérie cargo use is also envisaged to serve remote wilayas such as Tamanrasset.
