Creation of SMEs-SMIs: A private finance fund to be set up soon

A private direct financing fund will be set up this year, according to Mustapha Rahmani, President of the International Forum for Industry and Economic Prospecting.

This fund, he says, will be dedicated exclusively to the creation of innovative SMEs and start-ups, particularly in the agricultural, pharmaceutical and industrial sectors. "During 2023, we prepared the ground for the launch of this fund. We began by launching a programme of support, coaching and financing for project owners, with the support of private companies. The latter undertook to invest in innovative projects proposed by researchers, recent university graduates, inventors or people with original ideas. The only condition is that these projects add value to the national economy", he explains.


Project or idea holders will also be supported by investors throughout the process of setting up their businesses. "In addition to financial support, project holders will receive professional training throughout the process of setting up their businesses, to prepare them and equip them before launching them on the market and gaining a foothold as soon as possible. The more profitable these businesses are, the more investors will benefit", he notes, assuring that project and idea holders will be supported by free technical, economic and financial studies before they are put in contact with investors or businesses. This will be a win-win situation for everyone involved," he asserts, "especially for scientific research project promoters, investors and the national economy.
