Foreign trade: Rezig chairs a meeting to assess various measures related to the sector

On Sunday, 21 September, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, chaired an assessment meeting dedicated to reviewing and revising various measures taken to regulate the sector, according to a statement from the ministry.

During a meeting held at the ministry's new headquarters, officials discussed measures related to foreign trade regulations, including the importation of goods for resale or equipment, in accordance with the provisional programme for the second half of the year. The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the compensation mechanism of the Special Fund for the Promotion of Exports (FSPE) and the commercial contracts signed during the IATF 2025. The minister gave instructions to speed up the review of companies' programmes and strengthen their support. He also emphasised the creation of two new national export and import bodies, which are set to play a central role in regulating foreign trade, in line with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune's guidelines aimed at diversifying the economy and promoting non-hydrocarbon exports.
