Air Algérie CEO Hamza Benhamouda has presented an ambitious vision for the national airline's development, with plans to expand the fleet by 60 new aircraft in the long term. This initiative is in addition to the 34 aircraft already on order, including 18 for Air Algérie and 16 for its subsidiary Domestic Airlines, bringing the future total to 104 aircraft. The aim is to modernise the fleet, enhance competitiveness and turn Algiers airport into a regional and international hub.

The airline plans to open new routes to strategic destinations, including Guangzhou, Kuala Lumpur, Johannesburg, and Libreville, to consolidate Algeria's position in intercontinental air connectivity. To succeed, Air Algérie is relying on a bold pricing policy, the digitization of services, the adoption of international quality standards, and the creation of strategic partnerships. Thanks to its geographical position, Algeria intends to become a major player in air transport in Africa and beyond.
