The new Algiers Exhibition Centre, under construction since December 2023, is considered a strategic project to support the country's economic growth. During an inspection visit, Minister of Internal Trade Amel Abdellatif insisted on speeding up the work, emphasizing the importance of this infrastructure for hosting major national and international economic and commercial events.

The main lobby, covering an area of 30,000 m², will be equipped with modern technologies, including smart building management systems for lighting, air conditioning, and security. The building will also include a 60,000 m² underground parking garage on two levels, with space for 1,880 vehicles, as well as 10,000 m² dedicated to conferences and a VIP area. A large esplanade will be built at the main entrance.

Although no delivery date has been announced, the ministry is closely monitoring the construction site. The inauguration is expected in the coming months, with a possible opening during the 2026 edition of the Ecsel Expo trade show.
