Sacomi CEO Ahmed Taïba Miliani has announced a strategic partnership with ZTE Nubia for the local production of smartphones in Algeria. This cooperation aims to strengthen the country's digital sovereignty, train local skills, and increase the industrial integration rate, currently at 30%, with a target of exceeding 45%, thanks to the new production line. Sacomi, already active in household appliances, also plans to produce modems and tablets. The initiative aims to reduce imports, create skilled jobs, and promote the "Made in Algeria" brand. ZTE Nubia, present in Algeria since 2001, considers this partnership as a forward-looking vision. The project positions Algeria as an emerging player in technological innovation in Africa, while also supporting entrepreneurship and local start-ups.
