IATF: $11.4 billion in contracts for Algeria

The 4th edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF-2025), held from September 4 to 10 in Algiers, culminated in the signing of contracts worth more than $48.3 billion, including $11.4 billion for Algeria. This was announced by the organizers at the closing ceremony of the event on Wednesday afternoon at the Palais des Expositions des Pins, according to the APS news agency.

The fourth edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF), held in Algiers, was a resounding success, far exceeding its targets. According to Afreximbank, transactions reached $48.3 billion, compared to the $44 billion forecast and $43.77 billion at the previous edition in Egypt.

Algeria stood out with a share of $11.4 billion, representing 23.6% of the total contracts signed. The number of buyers reached 987, exceeding the target of 750 set by the organizers.

All indicators reached record levels: 2,148 exhibitors (including 1,923 in person), 132 international delegations, and participation from 49 African countries and 21 countries outside the continent. The number of visitors also skyrocketed, reaching 112,476 people, more than three times the expected figure.
