Positive Indicators for the Employment Sector in 2024

On Monday, Fayçal Bentaleb assured that “positive” indicators in the employment sector in 2024 are confirmation of the economic dynamic underway in Algeria.

In 2024, Algeria recorded encouraging economic indicators in the employment sector, signalling an economic recovery. According to Bentaleb, Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, job applications fell by 9% compared with 2023 (2.76 million in 2024 versus 3.02 million in 2023). At the same time, job offers have increased by 11%, traditional placements by 19%, and placements linked to unemployment benefits by 51%. These results reflect Algeria's efforts to build a more self-sufficient economy. During a visit to Aïn Defla, a partnership agreement was signed between Elsewedy Cables Algeria and the National Employment Agency (ANEM).
