Holcim El Djazaïr: Over 40% of cement exports are destined for the African market

Holcim El Djazaïr announced on Sunday, September 7, that over 40% of its cement exports are destined for the African market. The company states that it accounts for 35% of the sector's exports, i.e. 3.4 million tons per year.

At the 4th edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025) in Algiers, Holcim El-Djazaïr reaffirmed its commitment to Algeria's economic diversification and its ambition to become a strategic player in regional integration. Contributing 35% of cement industry exports with 3.4 million tons per year, the company exports more than 40% of its production to the African market. It is investing heavily in making Algeria a cement hub, particularly by strengthening its logistics and storage capacities. Holcim is also focusing on innovation and reducing its carbon footprint by introducing products with low environmental impact, CO₂ capture technologies, and electric vehicles. Its participation in IATF 2025 is part of a strategy to contribute actively to the continent's sustainable economic transformation.
