Employment: Efforts to modernize the public service

On Thursday in Algiers, the Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Fayçal Bentaleb, highlighted the sector's efforts to modernize the public employment service, enhance transparency in management and provide quality services.

Speaking at a plenary session of the National People's Assembly, the Minister highlighted the efforts to modernize the public employment service through the National Employment Agency (ANEM). The agency has set up 37 digital services, including platforms dedicated to unemployment benefits (Minha) and training. The second version of the Wassit Online information system has also been developed to ensure more transparent management of job offers in all local agencies.

The Minister also discussed the development of conventions with medical transport providers, particularly for renal failure and cancer patients. He pointed out that 372 operators have now signed conventions with the Caisse Nationale des Assurances Sociales des Travailleurs Salariés (CNAS) (National Social Security Fund for Salaried Workers), 203 have signed conventions with the Caisse Nationale de Sécurité Sociale des Non-Salariés (CASNOS) (National Social Security Fund for Non-Salaried Workers), testifying to the Ministry's efforts to strengthen this system.
