Kamel Baddari, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, oversaw the launch of the BAHU green hydrogen engine manufacturing project at his ministry on Sunday.

A meeting brought together several institutional and industrial stakeholders, including representatives from the Ministry of National Defence, research centres, the Higher School of Renewable Energy, and the National Society of Industrial Vehicles. It focused on a project to convert bus diesel engines to engines running on green hydrogen, as part of an initiative to promote research and innovation. This project would contribute 31% to the national economy in the area of local production.
