Minister of Finance Attends BRICS Summit in Johannesburg

The event is part of the 15th session of the BRICS Summit, which will focus on “Partnerships for accelerated growth, sustainable development and inclusive multilateralism”, according to the same source.

In addition, it will bring together leaders from the Group’s 05 countries, heads of state and government from 67 countries in Africa, Latin America, Asia and the Caribbean, as well as heads of international and regional organizations.

“This Forum will provide an opportunity for participants to exchange at a higher level on topical issues, including ways and means to strengthen cooperation among developing countries to ensure an inclusive global economic recovery and sustainable development,” the ministry said.

“These issues, which will be discussed in the presence of imminent personalities and heads of state, demonstrate the importance of solidarity-based action for a more responsive and just global economic system, which will combat inequalities, accelerate the climate transition and strengthen the chances of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals,” he added.

“Algeria’s participation in this Forum also reflects the interest of the country’s authorities in contributing to the reflection on issues related to recovery from multidimensional crises, the strengthening of a fair multilateralism and the reform of global governance,” the Ministry of Finance said.
