Zitouni presents Algeria's new economic model in India

The Minister of Internal Trade, Tayeb Zitouni, took part in the 29th 2024 Partnership Summit in New Delhi, India, on Monday, according to a Ministry press release.

Minister Zitouni presented the economic reforms undertaken by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune during the 29th session of the Partnership Summit in New Delhi. He stressed the importance of this summit in strengthening international cooperation and economic partnerships. Zitouni highlighted the economic reforms since 2020, which have improved the investment environment in Algeria, with more than 10,000 investment projects worth $30 billion. He also highlighted Algeria's geographical advantages and free trade agreements, which have made it a regional economic hub. Recent economic achievements include a growth rate of 4.2%, a GDP of $267 billion and foreign exchange reserves of over $70 billion. The goal is to reach a GDP of over $400 billion with a growth rate of at least 4% in the coming years.
