Youth Entrepreneurship: New Start-up Support Program

Huawei's program, dubbed “Spark International”, launched in early 2021 in the Asia-Pacific region is now effective in Algeria, with the support of the government. It aims to provide eligible start-ups with free cloud resources, technical training and specialized support, while enabling them to take advantage of national, regional and global business opportunities. In his speech, Minister Yacine El Mahdi Oualid said the sector "is experiencing a great impetus", thanks to the efforts of incubators, Strat-up accelerators and partner companies. The latter, he added, "are working towards the creation of an ecosystem conducive to the emergence of innovative start-ups, which will enable Algeria to aspire to be an innovation hub in Africa".
