Video - The port of Djen Djen hosts a 256-metre cargo ship

This is a first in the history of Algerian logistics shipping. The 256-meter-long MSC Tamara docked yesterday at the Djen Djen port in Algeria.

The expansion of the port of Djen Djen allowed the port to accommodate a large vessel, the MSC Tamara, a container ship that arrived on Sunday afternoon.


The MSC Tamara is a container ship flying the Panama flag, measuring 264.96 meters long and 32.35 meters wide, according to data from the Marine Traffic website.


The construction project for the container terminal at the Djen Djen port, scheduled for the end of 2025, is expected to be completed by the same date, according to a port official.
