During a visit to the site of the 13,300 "AADL" housing units in the new city of Sidi Abdallah (Algiers) on Saturday, Mr. Belaribi, accompanied by the Governor of Algiers, Mr. Abdenour Rabehi, specified that it had been agreed "with Italian and Chinese partners to establish 100% Algerian elevator manufacturing plants."

In addition to transferring the technology specific to this field to Algeria, the minister noted that local elevator manufacturing will strengthen "the focus on building tall buildings," emphasizing that "the AADL 3 program will see the construction of towers of fifteen to twenty floors."

In this context, Mr. Belaribi clarified that the focus on building this type of structure is due to the "lack of land parcels," especially in major cities, adding that this "will contribute to the rational use of available land."

The buildings in the "AADL 3" program will also include - the minister added - the construction of six apartments with a large landing.

"The architectural style of the 'AADL3' housing program will be improved compared to the 'AADL 1 and AADL 2' programs," Mr. Belaribi further specified, emphasizing that it will be adapted to the characteristics of each region.

He also affirmed that the studies and specifications have been finalized.
