Vaccines: Saidal and Sanofi seal strategic partnership

The pharmaceutical group Saidal and the Vaccines subsidiary of Sanofi signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday in Algiers on the development and production of vaccines for human use, the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry said in a statement.

A memorandum of understanding was signed at the ministry's headquarters between Saidal's CEO, Mourad Belkhelfa, and the director of Sanofi's vaccines subsidiary, Jean-Philippe Proust, in the presence of Minister Ouacim Kouidri. This strategic initiative aims to strengthen national capacities in the pharmaceutical industry by consolidating industrial partnerships and technology transfer. The agreement aims to increase local vaccine production, guarantee their availability, and strengthen national health security, in a context where pharmaceutical sovereignty is a major issue.
