A first of its kind: a startup to be listed on the Algiers Stock Exchange

The Commission d'Organisation et de Surveillance des Opérations de Bourse (Cosob) has approved the opening of the capital of the first start-up company to be listed on the Algiers Stock Exchange.

Youssef Bouzenada, President of the COSOB, highlighted significant developments in the Algerian financial market, reflecting the growing interest of economic operators. The digital platform "Moustachir" has been launched to connect companies with experts in various fields. In addition, several industrial SMEs have expressed interest in joining the Algiers Stock Exchange and their applications are currently being examined.

Tosyali Algeria plans to issue a 15 billion dinar bond on the stock exchange. Market capitalisation rose to 526 billion dinars in 2024 from 68 billion dinars in 2023, driven by the listing of Crédit Populaire d'Algérie. Trading activity reached a record high, with 2.1 billion dinars exchanged in the first nine months.
