Algeria is launching a national pilot project for drug traceability to enhance safety and transparency in the pharmaceutical industry. Wassim Kouidri, CEO of the Saïdal Group, describes this initiative as a "major innovation", thanks to serialization, which assigns a unique code to each box of medicine, enabling its journey from the factory to the pharmacy to be tracked. This system meets international standards and prepares Algerian medications for export, notably to Europe and the United States.

Minister Sifi Ghrieb emphasized the importance of digitization in combating speculation and securing pharmaceutical products. A new production unit for anti-cancer drugs in El Kendi was also inaugurated, testifying to the advances made by the Algerian pharmaceutical sector thanks to local skills.
