Sovereign Sukuk: Extension of the Subscription Period

The Ministry of Finance has announced an extension of the subscription period for Ijara-type sovereign sukuk until April 30, to broaden participation and enable as many investors as possible to participate.

In a statement released yesterday, Thursday, the Ministry specified that this extension aims to further open the offering to corporations, businesses, and individuals, offering them the opportunity to contribute to this financing mechanism.

These sukuk are investment products compliant with the principles of Islamic finance, intended to finance economic projects and those of public interest. According to the same source, they offer tax-exempt periodic returns while ensuring a high level of security for subscribers.

The ministry also invites interested parties to finalize their subscriptions or obtain more information by contacting participating public and private banks through their various sales outlets.
