Société Générale Algérie Opens Its New Headquarters

The private bank Société Générale Algérie (SGA), represented by its Executive Board and Management Committee, officially opened its new headquarters on Wednesday, March 25, located in the Bab Ezzouar business district in Algiers.

The opening ceremony was attended by members of Société Générale’s senior management and its supervisory board. The event was also attended by customers, partners and several prominent figures from Algeria’s local and institutional communities, according to a statement from the bank.

“Located in the Business District, this exceptional building – distinguished by its architecture, modern amenities, more ergonomic workspaces and its HQE certification (High Environmental Quality, rated ‘excellent’) – now houses the 900 employees of Société Générale’s two entities in Algeria: Société Générale Algérie and AYVENS Algérie, the global leader in mobility,” explains the private bank.

Société Générale Algérie, wholly owned by the Société Générale Group, is one of the very first private banks to establish a presence in Algeria. Today, Société Générale Algérie offers a diverse and innovative range of banking services to more than 300,000 private, professional and corporate customers through a network of 104 branches and a workforce of over 1,800 employees, it is noted.
