Sapta signs a partnership agreement with the Chinese company CRCC

On Monday, November 25, the state-owned company SAPTA and the Chinese group China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) signed a partnership agreement to formalise the creation of a joint venture to produce parts for the equipment used in the works.

During his visit to the International Public Works Exhibition in Algiers, the Minister of Public Works, Lakhdar Rekhroukh, attended the signing ceremony to create a production unit in Algeria. This unit, managed by SAPTA in partnership with CRCC, will manufacture parts used in infrastructure, thus reducing imports, and opening up export prospects.

 

The Minister also visited various stands, in particular that of the Public Railway Construction Group, where he stressed the group's importance in the progress of railway projects, including an ambitious programme of 15,000 km of railway lines.

 

During his visit to the Algerian Motorways stand, he stressed the importance of signage in reducing road accidents and the need for freeway maintenance.

 

Finally, at the Djen Djen port project stand, he highlighted the importance of training in port infrastructure modernization projects. He praised Algerian-Chinese cooperation in the Arzew and Annaba port extension projects.
