Algerian-Qatari meeting to strengthen trade and investment cooperation

During his attendance at the 29ᵉ edition of the Partnership Summit 2024, organized by the Federation of Indian Industry (CII) in collaboration with the Directorate of Promotion of Industry and Domestic Trade (DPIIT) of the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in New Delhi, the Algerian Minister of Domestic Trade and Market Regulation, Tayeb Zitouni, exchanged views with the Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sayed.

The officials discussed investment projects in Algeria, particularly in the large retail spaces. Mr Zitouni stressed the strategic importance of these projects and called for enhanced coordination to explore and activate opportunities for bilateral cooperation and boost trade between the two countries.

Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sayed praised the investment opportunities in Algeria and expressed Qatar's interest in developing strategic partnerships in various economic sectors, based on the strong brotherly relations between the two nations.

The meeting demonstrated a common will to deepen economic relations and promote mutually beneficial exchanges between Algiers and Doha.
