According to an official statement published on
its Facebook page, the Ministry of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production
announced that, in accordance with the results of the work of the National
Commission for Monitoring the Certification and Affixing of the
"Halal" Label to the imported food products concerned, a list of
imported food products that must be labeled "Halal" has been established. Of course, this applies
to meat and products of animal origin, including meat products, oils and fats
of animal origin, but also confectionery, including chocolate, beverages and
biscuits, as well as food additives of animal origin and/or containing
ingredients suspected of being non-halal due to production methods,
pre-packaged and intended for sale as such or intended for the food industry.
They also include milk derivatives, including caseins, all types of cheese for
processing or food processing, infant products and follow-up products, and
gelatin.
