At a previous meeting of the Council of Ministers, the President had ordered the introduction of a 24/7 system for the country's economic ports. On Sunday, he instructed the Council to adopt new control methods to protect the ports, which, he stressed, are vital facilities.

On the same occasion, the President also instructed that the ports should be restored to their economic vocation, thereby contributing to the development of the national economy.

In this respect, the President stressed that ports are of particular importance to the national economy and sovereignty and that it is therefore necessary to restore their economic vocation to contribute to economic development.
