The minister announced this during his visit to the El Tarf province, where he attended the opening of a national forum on 'Investment in Aquaculture.'

On this occasion, the minister emphasized that this support system is part of the commitments of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune regarding the development of the fishing population and aquaculture, improving the working conditions of professionals in ports, and addressing their concerns.

In this context, Mr. Badani praised the incentive measures provided by the President, especially regarding fiscal incentives for aquaculture activities through the 2024 Finance Law, and the reductions in customs duties for the importation of inputs for marine aquaculture.

In the same vein, the minister highlighted that this strategy is based on five fundamental axes: the development of marine and continental aquaculture, the development of deep-sea fishing, strengthening national capacities in shipbuilding and repair, reviving and valorizing red coral exploitation, and supporting marine fishing and aquaculture professionals.
