Weekly commercial shipping line between the ports of Skikda and Valencia to open in January 2026

SKIKDA - A weekly commercial shipping line will connect the port of Skikda to the port of Valencia in Spain, starting in January 2026,” according to information released on Tuesday by the Skikda port authority.

A working meeting was held at the port of Skikda between its managers and representatives of the Spanish shipping company Marguisa, part of the global HMM group, to prepare for the launch of a regular container shipping line between Skikda and Valencia port. This line, which will begin in January 2026 with weekly service, aims to strengthen Skikda's strategic position as a Mediterranean logistics hub. Tests carried out have demonstrated the efficiency of port operations, the speed of port calls, and the availability of modern equipment. Two container ships will provide this direct link, expanding Algeria's commercial activities.
