Ouargla: signing of an agreement between the Ministry of Fishing and the Korean agency KOICA

OUARGLA - An agreement was signed on Monday in Ouargla between the Ministry of Fishing and Halieutic Production and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), for the project handover to produce feed for farmed fish and shrimp.

During a ceremony in Hassi-Benabdallah, an agreement was signed between Algeria and South Korea to transfer a fish and shrimp feed production unit, the first of its kind in Algeria. This project, a successful collaboration with the Korean agency KOICA, aims to support Algeria's aquaculture sector by meeting the needs of national aquaculture farms with a production capacity of 10 tonnes per day. The facility will also help reduce imports in the sector. Korean Ambassador You Ki-Jun praised this cooperation and highlighted Algeria's potential for further aquaculture development.
