Madar Maritime Company launches a call for tenders to purchase over 2,100 containers

Madar Maritime Company (MMC), a subsidiary of the state-owned Madar Holding Group, has launched a national and international call for tender to purchase over 2,100 containers of various sizes, as a part of the company's plan to strengthen its fleet.

Madar Maritime Company (MMC) has launched a tender to acquire 2,136 new containers, divided into four separate lots. The first includes 1,036 standard twenty-foot containers (TEU), the second 900 forty-foot containers (FEU high cube) with refrigeration, the third 100 TEU reefer containers, and the last 100 FEU high cube reefer containers, intended for the transport of food products requiring temperature control.

Interested companies can register on the official MMC website to obtain the specifications, subject to acceptance of their application. The deadline for submission of bids is April 27, 2025, with a bid opening scheduled for the same day.

Founded in August 2024 with a capital of 4 billion dinars, MMC specializes in maritime transport and logistics. It aims to strengthen the national flag and has already taken steps to acquire its first two vessels in 2025.
