According to the Italian agency Agenzianova, a major Algerian-Italian economic forum will be held at the Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel & Spa in Rome. The event, open to all economic operators interested in bilateral partnerships, will feature thematic panels and B2B meetings. Three main areas will be covered: energy and the circular economy (including green hydrogen and energy infrastructure), infrastructure and transport (including logistics, digital and healthcare), and industry and agrifood (agritech, machinery, automotive, pharmaceuticals). Trade between the two countries reached 14 billion euros in 2024, with a relatively balanced trade. Algeria is Italy's main gas supplier, while Italy is Algeria's first customer and second supplier. This cooperation is part of the Mattei Plan's strategic framework, making Algeria a key partner for Italy in the Mediterranean.
