Tiaret-Tissemsilt railway line: project launched

The project to build a 63.5 km railway line linking the wilayas of Tiaret and Tissemsilt was officially launched on Monday in the municipality of Tissemsilt.

The project involves constructing a 185 km railway line connecting Relizane, Tiaret, and Tissemsilt.

 

Includes several engineering structures and a completion timeframe of 20 months, according to the National Agency for Railway Investment Studies and Monitoring.

 

Once operational, it will allow trains to transport goods and passengers at a maximum speed of 160 km/h.

 

During a ceremony with local authorities, the wali, Mr. Fethi Bouzaid, instructed project managers to mobilize the necessary resources to meet deadlines.

 

The project is part of President Mr Abdelmadjid Tebboune's commitment to opening up the Tissemsilt wilaya.

 

The project will create dynamics and serve as a link between the north and south of Algeria.

The project will open promising perspectives for the wilaya development, particularly in public works and industry.
