Private investors to ramp up pharmaceutical production to reduce import bills

Presiding over the official opening of a medical reagent production plant in Ain M’lila municipality, the minister urged the leaders of this productive unit to move towards the 3×8 production system to increase productive capacity and contribute to self-sufficiency.

On the occasion of the official opening in the same municipality of a company manufacturing anti-cancer medicines whose realization mobilized an investment of 5.4 billion DA, Mr. Aoun congratulated the owner of the company for this achievement and invited him to list as many medicines as possible in 2025 to supply the central pharmacies.

The Minister assured them that the State will continue to support private investors and will offer them all the required facilities.

In the municipality of Ouled Kacem, the minister also launched an export operation for a shipment of 1.5 million units of medical and surgical gloves to Mauritania, expressing his satisfaction with the efforts made by this private company manufacturing medical gloves and hoping that Mauritania will open the door for Algerian companies to expand their exports to Africa.
