The
company was taken over by the public group as part of the recovery and
valorisation of assets confiscated by the public authorities and their
integration into the national economic fabric, according to a statement issued
by the company on Sunday. The transfer of assets from the State Property
Directorate to the Holding Company, represented by its CEO, Samir Yahiaoui,
took place on Saturday.
Birth of GPI to revive business
On this occasion, Samir Yahiaoui chaired an extraordinary general meeting
dedicated to establishing the headquarters of the new company, renamed General
Plastic Injection (GPI), in Tissemsilt, with a view to "relaunching its
activity under the best possible conditions, protecting the unit's production
capacity, launching a new phase of management and development, and maintaining
the jobs and workers under contract with the former company ."
According to the same source, this transfer constitutes "a crucial step in
the process of upgrading of this industrial unit, through its integration into the holding company, to exploit the resources of production, improve performance and enhance industrial added value.
The holding company reaffirmed "its commitment to implementing government
guidelines on the recovery of seized assets, to develop confiscated property
using a modern economic approach based on value creation, capable of supporting
local development in the wilaya of Tissemsilt and contributing effectively to
strengthening the industrial fabric and the national economy".
