"As
part of the implementation of the objectives of Algeria's National
Digital Transformation Strategy, particularly its priority relating to
basic information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure, and
to consolidate standards of excellence in technological infrastructure,
the first National Data Centre (Mohammadia Data Centre) has obtained
Tier III Design certification from the Uptime Institute," the statement
said.
This achievement reflects the "level of technical maturity
and institutional operationality attained by this strategic building par
excellence," adds the statement, emphasising that this classification
is an "international benchmark confirming the infrastructure's
compliance with the highest standards of reliability and continuity,
guaranteeing uninterrupted maintainability and offering advanced levels
of security and operational availability."
This accreditation is
the culmination of a rigorous technical and engineering process based on
an integrated infrastructure design and the adoption of advanced
solutions to ensure business continuity, while subjecting the various
components to strict evaluation criteria in line with global best
practices.
In this regard, "the High Commission for
Digitalisation is committed to continuing its efforts to obtain Tier III
Facility Construction certification, the first of its kind in Algeria,
"completing the accreditation process and consolidating levels of
preparedness and reliability in accordance with international standards.
Furthermore,
the institution is working towards "obtaining Tier III Design
certification for the second National Data Centre (Data Centre 2) in the
wilaya of Blida," the statement concluded.
