During the 14th edition of the New Energy Fair, Mr. Zeboudj stated that the GICA group has significantly invested in reducing its carbon footprint and limiting pollutant emissions. This includes the installation of the latest-generation filters in its 13 production units to cut dust emissions well below international standards, and investments in wastewater treatment to protect the environment.

GICA has also engaged in reforestation campaigns and reduced energy consumption by 14% between 2018 and 2023. Additionally, the group plans to launch a waste recovery program in 2025 in collaboration with national and international organizations, to recycle and reuse waste, thereby protecting natural resources.
