The Marine Works Group (GTM) is born

Yesterday, Tuesday, the Minister of Public Works, Mr. Lakhdar Rekhroukh, chaired the constitutive general meeting of the Groupe des Travaux Maritimes (GTM) (Marine Works Group), announced a Ministry press release on Wednesday.

According to the same source, this meeting, which was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Finance, Transport and Industry, was held to implement the decisions of the Council of Ministers on July 15 and the statutes of the 187th session of the Council of State Participants (CPE), concerning the creation of the Maritime Works Group (GTM).

“During this meeting, Minister Rekhroukh highlighted the importance of creating this group, which will be in charge of building major maritime infrastructures and will contribute to strengthening Algeria's capacities and experience in this field, besides developing its capacity to compete with major foreign companies,” states the press release, which specifies that major structuring projects will be entrusted to the GTM.

“In this respect, Mr. Rekhroukh stressed the need to strengthen cooperation between the various players within the group, to boost its capacity to carry out projects”, the same source adds.
