Korean ambassador highlights economic opportunities and strategic partnership between Algeria and South Korea

During a lecture at the École Supérieure Algérienne des Affaires (ESAA), South Korea's ambassador to Algeria, You Ki-Jun, presented his country's exceptional economic development, while exploring the prospects for a stronger partnership with Algeria. He highlighted South Korea's transition from an aid-receiving country to a major economic player, thanks to a resilient and innovative development strategy.

Opportunities for cooperation

You Ki-Jun highlighted the economic opportunities between the two countries, particularly in the technology, infrastructure, renewable energy and aerospace sectors. He stressed the importance of a sustainable framework for collaboration, and mentioned Korea's interest in the Algerian market, given its natural resources and promising human capital.

A solid strategic partnership

The strategic partnership signed in 2006 has paved the way for significant Korean investment in Algeria, with projects in the automotive, electronics, construction, and training sectors. The ambassador recalled that 90 Algerian entrepreneurs recently benefited from training courses in Korea, thus reinforcing the capacities of human capital, essential for economic resilience.

A message for students

Addressing the students, he encouraged them to persevere relentlessly, stressing the importance of commitment and hard work to succeed and contribute to change.

ESAA's Managing Director hailed the speech as a unique opportunity to broaden students' knowledge of international business models and strengthen academic and professional exchanges between the two countries.
