“Algeria, a strategic crossroads for global investment”, declares Zitouni in New Delhi

Tayeb Zitouni, Minister of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation participated in the 29th edition of the Partnership Summit in New Delhi, India, on December 2, 2024, attended by international business representatives. The event highlighted the economic reforms undertaken by Algeria through President Abdelmadjid Tebboune's leadership.

In his speech, Zitouni highlighted Algeria's legislative and banking regulatory reforms, which have increased the country's attractiveness to foreign investors, with more than 10,000 investment projects worth $30 billion. He mentioned major infrastructure projects and sustained economic growth at a rate of 4.2% and foreign exchange reserves of over $70 billion. Zitouni expressed a desire to strengthen international partnerships and emphasised the importance of multilateral cooperation to address global challenges, including climate change and support for the Palestinian cause. The summit provided a platform to showcase Algeria's economic reforms and encourage investment.
