A meeting organized by the Serport group was held in the presence of several government members, dedicated to energy transition in the maritime transport and port activities sector. Speakers emphasized the strategic role of ports and maritime transport in national logistics, foreign trade, and supply chains, as well as the importance of coordination between stakeholders to implement integrated, and sustainable solutions.

The authorities stressed the need to decarbonize the sector, modernize port infrastructure, and switch to alternative fuels to reduce the carbon footprint and comply with international standards. This approach is part of the government's efforts to promote sustainable port development, reconciling economic requirements and environmental imperatives. The Ministry of Energy reaffirmed its commitment to supporting this transition, in particular through the development of renewable energies, energy efficiency, and green hydrogen projects, as well as technical support for the Serport group.
