Turkish company HAS OZCELIK wants to invest in Algeria's mining sector

On Thursday, the Turkish mining company Has Ozcelik, whose CEO, Murat Ozcelik, was received by the Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, expressed his interest in investing in mining and mineral processing in Algeria.

‘Mr Ozcelik expressed his company's great interest in investing in Algeria, particularly in the exploitation and processing of mineral resources such as phosphate, gold, feldspar, aluminium, etc.’ the ministry explained in its press release.

The Ministry also stated that the Turkish company was interested in ‘building basic infrastructure and manufacturing equipment locally, through mutually beneficial partnership projects’.

At the meeting, the Minister underlined Algeria's significant investment and partnership potential in the field of research, exploration, exploitation, and processing of ferrous and non-ferrous mineral resources, in the light of the favourable investment climate provided by the new investment law, and also the good relations between Algerian and Turkish companies in the energy and mining sectors.
