On Sunday, Omar Rekkache, Managing Director of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency, received a large delegation from the World Bank, led by Nadir Mohammed, Director of the Prosperity Department for the MENA region. The meeting, attended by the agency executives, aimed to explore ways of strengthening cooperation between the two institutions to promote investment in Algeria.

Nadir Mohamed praised the continued efforts of the recently established agency, highlighting its crucial role in assisting investors and promoting investment despite its recent establishment. He also emphasised the Agency's commitment to creating an attractive business environment and facilitating procedures for investors.
The meeting also discussed the World Bank's new Business Ready (B-READY) business climate assessment system, which replaces the previous Doing Business report. This new framework aims to reflect recent improvements in Algeria's investment climate and increase the country's attractiveness to foreign investors.
Training certificates were awarded to agency staff who benefited from a World Bank technical assistance program. This initiative is part of a strategic project to develop a long-term vision for investment promotion in Algeria, which the agency is currently working on.
