The Banque Extérieure d'Algérie opens its third branch in France

The Banque Extérieure d'Algérie (BEA) continues to expand its subsidiary in France. On Friday, January 16, BEA International Bank opened its third branch in France in Marseille, southern France, following those already open in Paris and Saint-Denis.

The Marseille branch of BEA International Bank was officially inaugurated on January 17 by MP Tawfiq Khedim. Located at 180 Avenue du Prado, this subsidiary of the Algerian banking sector is now fully operational in France. It received approval from the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority (ACPR) and the European Central Bank (ECB) on January 16, 2025.

The institution aims to support businesses and the Algerian diaspora, which is considered a key economic player. According to management, the goal is to secure financial flows and foster trust between investors and businesses on both sides of the Mediterranean. The services offered include international trade, asset security, credit support, and counterparty financing.
