Held from March 5 to 9, 2026, at the Abou Tachefine (Brea) sports complex, this exhibition is part of a national drive to boost local production and stimulate non-hydrocarbon exports. The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion and has a clear slogan: moving from import substitution to export.
Already present at the Made in DZ trade show in Algiers, the Algerian company is thus pursuing its visibility strategy and confirming its industrial ambition.

Tradifoot Factory, a 22,000 m² factory in Baba AliAt the
heart of this announcement is Tradifoot Factory, a new industrial unit
that the company plans to set up in the Baba Ali industrial zone in
Algiers.
The project will cover a total area of 22,000 m²,
including 18,000 m² of built space. The infrastructure will incorporate
automated production and assembly lines, several specialised workshops,
and logistics and technical platforms aligned with the industrial
partner's international standards. The project will create 1,000 new
jobs and will be supported by the UK government's Business, Innovation
and Skills (BIS) department.
Those responsible for the project
are counting on production to start in 2027. In the medium term, the
factory should reach an annual capacity of two million pairs of shoes.
Tradifoot unveils its Tradifoot Factory project, a 100% Made in Algeria shoe factory. With
this establishment, Tradifoot has a clear objective: to build a genuine
local industrial sector capable of competing with international
standards.
Moreover, the commercial strategy provides for a
gradual ramp-up. In the initial phase, production will supply the
Algerian market, dependent on imports.
In the medium term, the
company plans to expand its outlets to African and Mediterranean
markets, with a view to integrating into regional export channels.
This
approach is fully aligned with current economic policy, which
encourages industrial companies to conquer new international markets.
Tradifoot Factory, a driving force for "Made in Algeria"
Beyond
production, the Tradifoot Factory project has several objectives that
will shape the national industrial ecosystem. In particular, the company
is focusing on:
the development of local expertise in sports footwear;
technology transfer through international partnerships;
The national workforce upskilling in the manufacturing industry.
In
addition, the project is also expected to generate nearly 1,500 direct
and indirect jobs in the long term. Tradifoot thus intends to play an
active role in consolidating Algeria's industrial fabric. The company
plans to integrate standards related to sustainable development,
continuous training and improved working conditions.
Through its
participation in the Made in DZ trade fair in Tlemcen, the company is
reaffirming a clear ambition: to promote the "Made in Algeria" label and
gradually integrate the national footwear industry into regional and
international value chains.
In a sector long dominated by
imports, the initiative sends a strong signal. Indeed, Algeria is now
seeking to produce... and export.
