Major decision in favor of household appliance exports

The 2025 Finance Bill introduces a major reform for Algerian household appliance exporters, now allowing them to export up to 2% in value of spare parts, based on their total exports. This measure corrects a regulatory inconsistency that previously prevented these companies from providing after-sales service abroad, which had led to the loss of significant markets, particularly in Europe. Algerian companies, which had successfully entered international markets such as Italy, Spain, and Germany, were forced to forgo their contracts due to the inability to export spare parts. With this reform, exporters can now guarantee after-sales service to their foreign clients, boosting the export potential of the sector. This provision, along with recent authorizations from the Bank of Algeria regarding the export of services, paves the way for the establishment of after-sales service structures abroad, further stimulating Algerian exports.
