This initiative is part of the effort to support the modernisation of the sector and assist with the digital transition undertaken by government departments and public institutions.

This national day aims to enable managers and trainees to acquire modern knowledge and techniques in document and archive management, while strengthening their ability to adapt to the requirements of digitisation, to improve the efficiency of public administration and keep pace with ongoing technological changes.

On the sidelines of this event, the Minister oversaw the signing of a partnership agreement between the Ministry of Vocational Training and Education and the Directorate General of National Archives, as part of a strategic approach aimed at developing national skills in document and archive management and strengthening institutional coordination and integration.

In her speech, Nassima Arhab emphasised that this partnership is part of the law on digital transformation, as advocated by the President of the Republic, and whose implementation is supervised by the High Commission for Digitalisation. She stressed the need to adopt descriptive norms and data standards to establish a unified vision and strategy for digital transformation at the national level.

For his part, the Director General of National Archives and Documentation praised the central role of vocational training and education in preparing a skilled workforce, highlighting the importance of adapting training programmes to labour market requirements, particularly in a context marked by rapid technological change, as part of a national institutional strategy.

This partnership provides for the development of specialised training programmes in document and archive management based on expressed needs, the organisation of training sessions and practical workshops, and technical and scientific supervision of applied internships for trainees. It also includes the exchange of expertise and information, as well as training for trainers, managers and officials responsible for archiving and documentation.

This event illustrates the Ministry of Vocational Training and Education's desire to expand its strategic partnerships and strengthen the link between training and the professional field requirements, in line with the national strategy to promote widespread digitisation.
