Annaba port extension: Export capacity more than doubled

Launched as a continuation of the integrated phosphate project at Bled Hadhba, in Tébessa, the extension of the Annaba port, once completed, will increase annual export capacity from 03 million to 07 million tons of phosphate and refined products.

This 80-hectare port extension, whose construction is progressing apace, has been entrusted to a consortium of three companies two national and one foreign.

Comprising a 1,600-meter-long mining quay, a 1,400-meter-long breakwater and a draught that will allow giant 80,000-ton ships to dock, the port is an important link in the Tébéssa integrated phosphate project and a strategic infrastructure for the country.
